About MeI am currently the MSAP Grant Site Coordinator and Lead Teacher for a media and technology focused elementary magnet school in the Lexington Richland 5 School District in Columbia, South Carolina. My prior position was as a technology integration specialist. I have 16 years experience working in education technology, with a master's degree in Teaching and Learning with a focus in K-12 Technology Integration.
My responsibilities are to work directly with teachers and students in the classroom to model, co-teach, or help plan technology lessons that enhance or supplement the curriculum. The lessons and resources I share with teachers and students include ways to use computers, iPads, Smartboards, cameras and other devices such as GPS units and cell phones in the classroom. I teach the use of Web 2.0 cloud based applications, web resources, iPad applications, web page development, and software. In addition to working with teachers, I conduct professional development workshops and graduate level courses for the school district. I also have presented extensively at state, national, and virtual conferences. Contact me about presenting at your conference or school. |
